Bäckebron sawmill 8MW
AKJ Energiteknik was the turnkey contractor for the machinery and process equipment when the new boiler plant was built in a disused pellet factory.
The combustion equipment is carried out with AKJ's combustion system for moist sawmill fuels with spruce and pine bark and is optimized to maximize operational availability and low NOx values.
The contract included design, installation and commissioning of the complete boiler plant with fuel handling, incinerator, boiler, flue gas cleaning with electric filter, mechanical, piping and electrical installations and control system.

Expansion of activities
The plant is owned by Profura, Bernt Ivarsson and is now undergoing a major expansion, increasing production to 180,000m3sv.
Bäckebron sawmill is located outside Sunne in Värmland and specializes in small timber.
Modernization of boiler plant
The existing boiler plant was 32 years old and to enable the expansion, a new modern fully automated boiler plant for moist sawmill fuels from AKJ Energiteknik has now been invested in.
